Thank you for your question. Baseball diamonds will not be included in the future Southwest Community Park design due limited land available for construction. The City is aware of the need for additional ball diamonds in Brantford and is actively looking into options elsewhere within the City.

Thanks for your question. An indoor gymnasium has been incorporated into the final design. It will include two gymnasiums. Each gymnasium will have a tournament sized basketball court, or can be used for two junior basketball courts, pickleball or two volleyball courts. A automated batting cage is not planned at this time.

Will the new trees and any other plants be natives?

Suepitou asked about 2 months ago

Thank you for your question. Trees and plantings within the park will be native species that align with the City's standards. Consideration is given to suit the location including soil type, sun/shade, wind, drought, salt tolerance, space and more.
