Did you know that the Ontario Fire Code requires smoke alarms on every level and outside each sleeping area as a minimum? You may require more alarms, depending on the type of building you live in and when it was built.
Take the Smoke Alarm Pledge by talking to your family about the smoke alarms in your home – how many there are and where they are located. Make sure they are installed where required and test them to ensure they are working properly. Then take the pledge below and be entered for the chance to win a $100 gift card to Brant Food Centre!

No purchase necessary. Contest open to the legal residents of Brantford. Entrants must be over the age of majority in the province of Ontario during the Contest Period. One entry per household during the Contest Period. Contest starts October 6, 2025 and ends October 31, 2025. Winner will be selected the week of November 3, 2025 in Brantford, Ontario. The prize is a $100 gift card to Brant Food Centre. Prize must be claimed within two weeks of notification via email otherwise winners forfeit their prize and a new winner will be drawn. Prize must be picked up with photo ID at Brantford Fire Station 1, 60 Clarence St, Brantford.
