Calling all neighbours to help us! The City of Brantford is currently seeking feedback for proposed playground designs at the following parks:
- Central Park, 143 George Street
- Hillcrest Park, 11 Sandy Row
- Recreation Park, 258 Nelson Street
The surveys are now closed. Thank you to all the respondents who took time to provide feedback in the recent surveys to help inform the new playground design for Central Park, Hillcrest Park and Recreation Park. Your opinions are very important to us and we will share the results soon.

Central Park option 1 (traditional equipment)
The first option for new playground equipment at Central Park includes a traditional platform based playground, and a three bay swing set with an accessible swing. Some of the features that are included in this play design are as follows:
- Wavy slide
- Simon says panel (accessible from ground level)
- Steering wheel (accessible from ground level)
- Beanstalk climber (accessible from ground level)
- Telescope
- Quantum slide
- Loop climber (accessible from ground level)
- Overhead ring challenge
- Stand up spinner (accessible from ground level)
- Activity panel (accessible from ground level)
- Zoom twist net climber (accessible from ground level)
Central Park option 2 (circuit style equipment)
The second option for new playground equipment at Central Park includes a contemporary circuit playground, and a three bay swing set with an accessible swing. Some of the features that are included in this play design are as follows:
- Jax pack climbers (accessible from ground level)
- Bongo perch stepping stools (accessible from ground level)
- Curved balance beam (accessible from ground level)
- Horizontal ladder and pull along (accessible from ground level)
- Gap-n-glide monorail
- Saddle seats (accessible from ground level)
- Breakaways obstacle course (accessible from ground level)
- Jax spider web climber (accessible from ground level)

- Rotating rain stick (accessible from ground level)
- Hammock swing (accessible from ground level)
- Explorer panel (accessible from ground level)
- 2 seat teeter-totter (accessible from ground level)
Hillcrest Park option 2 (circuit style play equipment)
The second option for new playground equipment at Hillcrest Park includes a contemporary circuit playground, and a three bay swing set with an accessible swing. Some of the features that are included in this play design are as follows:
- Slide (Sr. Play)
- 2 seat teeter-totter (accessible from ground level)
- Stand-up-spinner (accessible from ground level)
- Psychomotor Course including an overhead climber, balance beam and cable bridge (partially accessible from ground level)
- Play structure Course including a net climber, leaf steps and an overhead climber (partially accessible from ground level)
- Treehouse slide (Jr. Play)
