Consultation has concluded

As the City plans the 2022 City budget, we want to hear from Brantford residents about what you think the City's 2022 budget priorities should be and what programs and services are most important to you.

To help inform the City’s 2022 operating budget and ensure that the community has their say, we are excited to offer a series of convenient input opportunities outlined below. Your opinions are very important to us and we thank all respondents in advance for taking the time to get involved in the City of Brantford 2022 Budget Process.

What does YOUR City budget look like?

Show us how you would balance the City budget with our new, Budget Allocator tool. You can increase or decrease funding for different City service areas as you wish, but you still need to maintain a balanced budget (we are required by law to do so). For example, if you reduce spending in one area, think about where else those dollars could be spent based on what you think the City’s priorities should be.

When completing this budget simulation, think about questions such as: Why is this service important? Do I want to change what is provided now? Will the community benefit?

The figures in this simulation are based on the City's budget revenues and expenses in the last 2 years. Please note that certain revenue categories are fixed because those sources are not within the City’s control to change. For more information about each category/line item, please click on the information icon - i.

Thank you for participating! The results from this engagement exercise will help inform City staff and Council as the 2021 City Budget is further developed.
