Water and Wastewater Financial Plan
Consultation has concluded
The City is updating the Water and Wastewater Financial Plan and we want to hear from you!
Under the Safe Drinking Water Act, the City is required to update our Financial Plan every five years for drinking water systems to maintain our Municipal Drinking Water Licence. The Province recommends that a similar Financial Plan be prepared for the Wastewater system. This plan must account for the full cost of services (expenditures) and provide a cost recovery plan (revenues).
The first step is to prepare a Water and Wastewater Rate Study. The recommendations of the Study will then be used in preparing the Financial Plan. The Study will propose a water and wastewater rates structure for the next 10 years (from 2023 to 2032).
Public Meeting - December 13, 2021
A virtual Public Information Centre (PIC) was held on Monday, December 13, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. to present the findings of the water and wastewater rate analysis.
