The Mayor’s Great Light Fight is a holiday lights competition open to all residents of Brantford which simply asks residents to share their light displays and help raise spirits and bring festive excitement to the community. The Great Light Fight will take place from November 12 to December 22, 2025. The winner will be announced Wednesday, December 24, 2025.
Enter the photo contest by uploading a photo of your Holiday Lights display. After entering the contest, feel free to drop a pin on our Holiday Lights map so we can make a map of all the holiday light displays in the City and share on social media with #LightFightBrantford.
Post on social media using #LightFightBrantford (optional)
This year's 1st place winners will receive a Best of Brantford gift basket filled with purchases and donations from our favourite local vendors and other holiday goodies!
If unable to upload your picture, please reach out by email to OfficeOfTheMayor@brantford.ca and we will help you register.
Registered homes will be judged by Mayor Davis and the Mayor's Office based on originality, theme, ability to capture holiday spirit and enthusiasm. Contest deadline is December 22, 2025 at 4 p.m.
