Let's talk about the Clock Tower Bell
Last fall the City was pleased to share that the iconic clock at the top of Brantford’s City Hall was restored to working order. As a focal point of the City’s downtown for over one hundred years, the clock is an important part of the city’s history. The restoration included modernizing the clock mechanisms and replacing the clock faces, clock hands, panes and caulking.
This spring the restoration work moved to the final stage which is repositioning the Clock tower Bell and connecting it to the clock mechanism. With that restoration work expected to be completed this summer, the City wants to hear from you about how often the bell should be programmed to chime. Public input will be important in determining a schedule for when the bell rings out.
