In partnership with Wilfrid Laurier University, in June 2024 the City was excited to launch an extensive community engagement campaign to plan for our city’s future. The "Brantford 2050: Mapping Our Path Forward Together" initiative is an important opportunity to collaboratively develop a new City of Brantford Vision that, together, as a community, will help shape Brantford's future and establish an updated vision to guide the City’s planning and priorities over the next several decades.

Our sincere thanks to the nearly 1,000 residents who participated in the Brantford 2050 Vision engagement campaign. We encourage all community members to review the Brantford 2050 Vision document, and provide and any further insights, perspectives, and feedback using the questions and comment tool below.

  • Share In light of the overwhelming majority (79.4%) of residents feeling strongly about preserving natural spaces in Brantford, I truly hope the mayor will stop re-raising the prospect of the Oak Park Road Extension. It has been clear that this goes against the priorities of residents, and that is clearly reflected in this vision document. Better planning is needed not to green light developments where we can't create the infrastructure to support them without permanently eliminating Brantford's green spaces. That cannot be an option. on Facebook Share In light of the overwhelming majority (79.4%) of residents feeling strongly about preserving natural spaces in Brantford, I truly hope the mayor will stop re-raising the prospect of the Oak Park Road Extension. • Share To me the utmost priority is faster access to the highway from West Brant. It takes way too long to get to the highway especially during high traffic hours. Brantford is rapidly growing and there is no way we can sustain this amount of traffic in West Brant without faster access to the highway. on Facebook Share To me the utmost priority is faster access to the highway from West Brant.
