Asset Management Level of Service

The City is in the process of implementing the requirements of Ontario Regulation 588/17 which includes a Strategic Asset Management Policy and the development of asset management plans for all City-owned assets.

Essentially, in order to make good decisions related to City core assets, we need good data. We also need to consider how the City will grow over time and what levels of service our residents expect from the infrastructure that we operate, maintain, replace and repair. This information helps us to better manage our infrastructure assets to meet residents’ current service needs while simultaneously planning to meet the service needs of the future.
